The brief was to create a seamless transition between the internal living, external dining terrace and to the garden beyond. Lighting has the ability to draw the eye and create a focus beyond the confines of a room. This is enhanced in the night-time landscape when once can be very prescriptive as to what is highlighted and what is in shadow. As the internal lighting emanates a soft glow to the terrace, discrete spotlights provide pools of light onto the dining and seating tables, famed by softly uplit planting.
