The Mondrian adds a rooftop bar to its London portfolio and a real draw to the urban hotel experience  The challenge with highly glazed interiors is the stark transition between night and day. At night the glass can become a reflecting mirror, so it is important to create viewpoints beyond to extend the perception of space. Seating areas are lit with spots concealed within the pergola structure and planting – giving the illusion that the festoon and rattan pendants are providing all the layers of light. The festoon lights extend out onto the pool terrace to complete the inside-out connection and create an intimate late night setting.
