Existing cabling was cleverly reused to bring uplighting, carefully detailed withing the listed panelling to the corridor. The effect was to immediately lift the impression of the space and create corner anchor points to this beautifully presented transition space. Surface spotlights were implemented where existing electrical points allowed – to provide an element of focal light in each room. However, the general light levels were provided by layers of lighting solutions seamlessly integrated into the joinery pieces, which also cleverly housed a great deal of M&E equipment.
Creative lighting layers detailed into the joinery elements in a fashion that made each piece look individual, bespoke and interesting.
