A sense of Zen-like calm and tranquillity resonates throughout this spa in Ireland . Carved into a mountain, the breath-taking pool is illuminated from a magical dusting of Swarovski crystals and shimmering leaf sculptures cascade from above. Architectural slots of light emphasise the layers of material and create reflections in the water below.

With no natural light, the scheme evolves throughout the day - a temporal reference to a natural light-cycle. The beauty of this project lies in the sparse and elegant architecture highlighted by the dramatic and imaginative lighting design.
